Timepiece Photo was born of pure unadulterated selfishness. I have always had a deep love for the place of my birth and early years, Virginia's Northern Neck region, between the Rappahannock and Potomac Rivers and bounded on its eastern end by the Chesapeake Bay.
I picked up a photo "habit" during my Air Force years (Thank you, Woody!) and, seeing, over the years, all the changes in, around and to my homeplace, it occurred to me that I was already equipped to record things before they were lost forever. With my camera, I could keep it, just as it was, forever.
Over the years, through various trips "down home", I managed to capture quite a bit, some of which you'll see in these pages. In 1978 I managed to actually move back down home and the pace of shooting picked up quite a bit. No longer limited to weekends grabbed when I could, I was seldom seen without a camera close by. And that's true to this minute.
Having amassed a "collection" of several thousand slides, I decided to "go public" with the work. I offer herewith a look at my world, as I see it, the old, the new, the lifestyles that are dying and those that replace them.
There will be MANY additions and updates to this site. I've "gone digital" and already piled up something over a thousand shots. Some will make their way onto these pages as soon as I can get to it.
In the meantime, I hope you find your visit here enjoyable and, should anything you see here engender a "want" in you, well, that's where the "services" part comes in. Also, I added in my, "How to get yours" page, a short notice to the effect that anyone ordering an 11"X14" or larger print will be sent a snapshot size print of their order. I figured I'd better make that known here as well. This will happen on reciept of payment and concurrent w/the order going out to the lab. 'A small thank you for your order and an advance look at what's coming.
More recently added is a link to my ClickBank Mall. This is a fine scource of information products and softwares. And I added a link to my blog as well. This will enable prospective clients and the world at large to get aquainted with me.
